พลอยไพลิน มูลศรี คันนิงแฮม เกิดปี 2542 ที่กรุงเทพฯ โตที่บ้านดอนแรด อำเภอรัตนบุรี กับยาย เรียนโรงเรียนบ้านหาญฮี ได้เหรียญทอง Story Telling ภาษาอังกฤษ ช่วงชั้นที่ 2 เมื่อวันที่ 18 พฤศจิกายน 2553 ขี่มอเตอร์ไซค์ไปโรงเรียนรัตนบุรีคนเดียว 18 กิโลเมตรตั้งแต่อายุ 13 สอบผ่านห้องเรียนพิเศษ แต่ครอบครัวจ่ายค่าเทอมไม่ไหว
วันนี้เธอสอนภาษาอังกฤษให้เด็กในโรงเรียนหมู่บ้านแถวรัตนบุรี และเป็นล่ามของสามีในทุกห้องเรียนที่เขาสอน
Ploypailin Moonsri Cunningham — born 1999 in Bangkok, raised in Don Raet, Rattanaburi, by her grandmother. Ban Han Hee School; gold medal, English Story Telling, 18 November 2010; eighteen kilometres to Rattanaburi High School alone by motorcycle from thirteen; passed the exam for the special programme, and her family could not pay the fee. Today she teaches English in the village schools around Rattanaburi, and she is her husband's translator in every classroom he teaches in. Her story is the front page.

Benjamin Cunningham, American, from Texas. He has taught English as a volunteer in Isan village schools for ten years, took his TEFL certificate in Chiang Mai around 2016, and holds that Isan children should learn American English. He is bad at it in public in front of forty children most weeks, and he goes back.

Born in 2023, 2024 and 2025 — two in Chiang Mai, the youngest in Udon Thani, in Isan. They are growing up between a temple and a church, with three languages in one house.

Isan children get nine hundred to a thousand hours of English across twelve years of school and come out unable to hold a conversation. It is not the children. It is that nobody in the room produces the language — in one rural study, nine of ten primary English teachers tested at a beginner's level themselves.
